Hollywood streets paved with your tax dollars? AFP Ad Is Eye-Opener

A new television ad starting today in 11 states and over 27 media markets educates citizens about the straining effects of out-of-control government spending on the American taxpayer.

The street of Hollywood are paved with tax dollars, not gold but the $862 billion stimulus paid for pork barrel projects all across the country, including $1.1 million to pave Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, while America lost 2.7 million jobs,” the ad states.

The pork barrel stimulus cost every American family $10,000. The wasteful spending must stop.

The $4.1 million ad buy will run on network and cable channels in Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin starting today, August 16, and will continue through August 29.

The TV ad is part of Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Spending Crisis initiative, which educates citizens on the disastrous effects of wasteful government spending. Washington’s wasteful spending habits are bankrupting America. Tim Phillips, president of Americans for Prosperity Foundation, said “Hardworking taxpayers deserve to know that their tax dollars are being used wisely.”

The ad also encourages citizens to go to http://www.SpendingCrisis.org/ where they can share examples of wasteful spending in their area.
